Today we met our friend, Mark Maddrey, at the Washington Capitals new practice arena, Kettler Capitals Iceplex, in Arlington. Fiona's first hockey game! It was a summer development camp game, and features the Caps' two most recent number one draft choices: Nicklas Backstrom (Center-2006) and Karl Alzner (Defense-2007).How exciting! May many more hockey games follow!
Rory had a BLAST at the game, watching while pressed up against the boards and not even flinching when the HUGE players crashed into them right in front of us. Mom's girl!
