Yesterday it was "blessed" by Fairfax County! We are so excited. Isn't that a bit pitiful? Hah! We fully accept its pitifulness, and embrace it! Now I need to buy a grill...

Grandma & the girls

Here is a super cute picture of Grandma, Rory, & Fiona. So happy together! => The girls have been asking for Grandma since I picked them up from daycare. They miss her already!

Did my NCAA men's bracket

And as always, I have UCONN and UNC going to the final two. UCONN wins, in my non-NCAA-educated fantasy land, in every bracket I have done for the last decade. And sometimes that actually comes true.

I think some games are already finished (as of 4:21 pm EST), but I don't know for sure so my choices remain legitimate. =>

Facebook irritates me

So much so that I haven't checked it all day. There are so many things about the redesign that make it both ugly and useless, and besides, FB was taking precious time away from my blogging life!

So I'm back, baby! No more cheating on blogger!

One week to "hair day"

I blog about this every year, and I know no one cares. But in one short week, my life will again be dramatically altered... from high-maintenance hair to NO-maintenance hair. White girl FRO to white girl NO! And I can't wait!!

This is the fourth year in a row I have straightened my hair, and it is the best thing ever. And just in time for Spring (aka, no blow drying needed!). The procedure lasts for a year, more or less.

Above are the before and after pics from the first time I did this procedure. Notice how I look like Hermione Granger on steroids in the first shot. HAH! These pics really show the difference - more so than a picture NOW would, because now the bottom half of my hair still has the straightening from last time in tact. So the above picture is the last "true" shot of my hair since 2005.
